In this role, you will take ownership of the design and development of highly scalable software applications, services, data pipelines, and database solutions. Use scientific, mathematical, and social principles to support Nordstrom's strategic visions. You will collaborate with various platforms within Nordstrom Technology, influencing both business and engineering on a company-wide level.

A Day in the Life

• Complete well-defined projects independently, managing dependencies and understanding how pieces of a project relate to each other.
• Design, develop, and manage scalable Business Intelligence solutions, including front-end visualizations and robust back-end data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify problems and propose solutions collectively.
• Work with other analysts to review code and learn from each other to maximize the team’s overall impact.
• Balance competing priorities, focusing on high-impact work while navigating ambiguity to deliver value.

What You Bring

• Quantitative degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying production-level SQL queries.
• 2+ years of experience with advanced BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Plotly, Matplotlib).
• Professional experience using R or Python in an analytics capacity.
• Experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and adherence to coding standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, educate, and convey results effectively to both non-experts and experts.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with various teams and personnel.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state-specific laws. Pay ranges may differ in other locations.

Washington: $76,500 - $145,500 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
