Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Data Analyst) – Supply Chain & Insights Team

Join Nordstrom's NAP Supply Chain and Insights Team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. This vital role involves the collection and delivery of data insights for Nordstrom’s Supply Chain and Inventory Organization, driving decision-making and value creation. Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Insight Delivery: Collect, analyze, and present data to enhance decision-making around Supply Chain and Inventory challenges.

Dashboard Development: Create comprehensive, advanced dashboards using various visualization techniques and statistical measures to tell compelling stories.

Project Management: Independently handle ambiguous projects and align them with the team’s mission, contributing to the development of the team roadmap.

Strategic Analysis: Produce analysis and reporting that reveal new strategic opportunities. Identify high-impact data products and deliver them in a production environment.

Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Prioritize issue resolution, identify key questions, and make informed decisions on trade-offs.

Dashboard Maintenance: Maintain complex, platform-standard dashboards that perform efficiently.

Feedback and Strategy Development: Provide user feedback for product releases and help drive strategy for data models using your analysis expertise.

Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service with professionalism, ownership, and initiative.

Data Quality Management: Ensure data quality, governance, and master data management across systems.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background: Quantitative degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years as a data analyst, utilizing advanced data visualization techniques to deliver actionable insights, preferably in the supply chain/logistics domain.

SQL Proficiency: Expert in SQL, with the ability to write efficient, production-ready code from scratch.

Business Curiosity: Ability to work independently, translating business questions into meaningful insights.

Visualization Tools Knowledge: Experience with leading visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Supply Chain Understanding: Deep understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory domains, processes, data sources, and relevant metrics.

Consulting Skills: Proficient in consulting with data producers on schemas.

Familiarity with Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling is a plus.

Statistics Knowledge: Understanding of basic statistical concepts.

Pay Range Details

Washington: $89,000 - $170,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, and holidays.
