About the Role
Our Analytics team is on the lookout for a Data Analyst and Programmer to optimize the Analytics process and code for Euromonitor’s internal Forecast Model, integral to our Passport data updates. The ideal candidate will have a robust programming background in Python or R, a good grasp of cloud computing services, and a passion for data analytics. Alongside the Forecast Model process, you may also participate in consulting projects that require similar expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine code for data treatment, performing mathematical and statistical computations.
- Engage in internal peer review meetings to discuss the best solutions and provide input on preliminary findings.
- Draw conclusions based on analytical results.
- Stay current with the latest technological advancements in programming and cloud solutions.
- Document projects thoroughly and share best practices.
Key Requirements
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (both oral and written).
- Excellent organizational skills and creativity.
- Advanced knowledge of Python/R and SQL.
- Ability to automate complex data analysis processes.
- Understanding of data flows, migrations, ETLs, pipelines, and similar tools.
- Knowledge of process scaling and parallelization.
- Capability to write production-ready code.
- Background in econometrics, statistics, and economics.
- Experience with Dockers, Rest API, JSON data format is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud computing service platforms (Azure, GCS, etc.).
- Experience with SPARQL, JavaScript, HTML, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Interest in AI, data science, and machine learning is advantageous.
- Confidence and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- M.A. degree in computer science, statistics, econometrics, data science, mathematics, economics, physics, or a related field. Exceptional candidates with a B.A. will also be considered.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: 24k-34k Euros per year
