About the Role: Data Analyst

We are seeking a visionary Data Analyst to elevate the analytics capabilities at PayPay. In this role, you'll harness the vast data from over 63 million users and 2.35 million merchants to optimize and enhance the PayPay ecosystem, helping increase user engagement and platform profitability. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape data-driven strategies and make impactful decisions that fuel our continuous growth.

The responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with product managers to define KPIs, create dashboards, and conduct robust data analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Initiating and driving improvements in data collection and processing, designing data warehouses, and enhancing organizational data capabilities.
  • Promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Technical Environment: The role involves working with BigQuery, Looker Studio, JupyterLab, Google Analytics, dbt, and GitHub.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of data analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in generating data insights and applying them to understand and drive business goals.
  • Business-level proficiency in English.

Desirable Experience/Skills

  • Background in payment systems, FinTech, or e-commerce.
  • Experience in fostering a data-driven culture within teams.
  • Journeyman level understanding of statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Japanese language skills at business level preferred.
