Join the dynamic Research Office team at Hong Kong Baptist University as a Data Analyst (Executive Officer rank). This position plays a key role in managing IT projects that enhance the operational effectiveness of our Research Office.

About the Role

The Research Office provides comprehensive administrative services and supports various institutional functions including grants administration, research ethics, policy development, and maintaining research infrastructure. As a Data alyst, you will:

• Develop and improve the Integrated Research Information and Management System (IRIMS) and other research-related systems.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate, document, and train teams on system workflows and guidelines to ensure successful system implementation.
• Handle hands-on research data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the Research Office.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Library and Information Science, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in information system management and data management.
• Experience in metadata handling and content management for institutional repository systems or current research information systems.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven abilities in project management and vendor management.

Employment Terms

The selected candidate will be offered a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of re-appointment based on performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
