What You'll Do:

As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to navigate through extensive data sets to pinpoint trends, construct graphs, and formulate visual dashboard presentations to aid businesses in making more informed strategic decisions. You will:

• Implement statistical tools to decode data sets and compile reports that succinctly convey trends, patterns, and predictions from the findings.
• Engage in code reviews adhering to established standards and practices within our data environment.
• Apply statistical techniques to understand the necessities of business operations globally and develop comprehensive dashboards to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Write SQL queries to tackle complex business inquiries.
• Address any data quality concerns and biases during data acquisition.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new incremental data.
• Process, clean, and verify data integrity for analysis.
• Employ data mining, model building, and additional analytical methods to create customer segments.
• Partner with data scientists to optimize machine learning models within Geotab’s extensive data frameworks.
• Assemble analytical findings and develop presentation slides for executive meetings.

What You'll Bring to This Role:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Proficient in SQL and familiarity with data science tools (e.g., Python, Pandas, NumPy) along with BI tools like Superset, Redash, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Demonstrated ability working with big data and techniques to derive valuable insights from large datasets.
• Experience collaborating closely with business analysts to devise effective data solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
• Effective team player capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
• Technical proficiency in software programs including Google Suite for Business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot, Macro).
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and machine learning concepts will be advantageous.
• A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
