Data Analyst Job Opening at W.R. Grace - India Digital Operations Center

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our India Digital Operations Center at W.R. Grace. You will be instrumental in enabling insights extraction from data to support our organization-wide operations, contributing directly to our data-driven decision-making process.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Data Analyst, you will:

• Analyze business use of data and align your work to support strategic objectives and work processes.
• Create business value through improved data accessibility, employing advanced software engineering and data science techniques.
• Utilize predictive modeling to develop insights that aid operational excellence and asset performance management.
• Handle large volumes of data using tools like Python, SQL/NoSQL, and machine learning models to provide actionable insights for operational enhancements.
• Communicate complex analytical results effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

Required Experience:

• Proven ability in data mining, and handling data cleaning, transformation, and validation processes.
• Solid experience with large datasets using programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Expertise in databases, particularly with SQL queries for efficient data management and analysis.
• Ability to develop impactful visualizations with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAC.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization using Excel.
• Experience in advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
• Strong communication skills to present insights persuasively to various stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of cloud environments, particularly in data lake and warehousing, preferably with Google Cloud.
• Experience with statistical analysis methods such as decision trees and regression models.
• Proficiency in implementing AI/ML models with Python.
• Experience with time series data and forecasting.
• Familiarity with SAP Modules and process improvement metrics.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should hold a B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with an interest in Data Analytics, or B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science with at least one year of experience in the Chemical, Manufacturing, or Process industry.
