Job Description

The Data Operations team at NBCUniversal is on the lookout for enthusiastic, goal-oriented, proactive, and resourceful individuals to fuel innovation within our Ad Platforms and Operations One-Platform group.

Our One-Platform integrates NBCU’s advanced, data-driven advertising products that span data-driven linear, addressable, OTT, and digital channels. As a part of this team, you will support the Director of the Advanced Data Operations team, employing digital and convergent data tactics and strategies to ensure the operational efficacy of audience-targeted ad products. You will also collaborate with other members of the Data Operations team to streamline communication and optimize workflows between core internal teams and data vendors, ensuring continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with data vendors and teams to ensure audience targets are met for targeted campaigns across various platforms including digital, addressable, and data-driven linear.
  • Utilize a comprehensive range of analytic tools and databases to identify key metrics, trends, and insights that effectively position NBCUniversal's ad products and services to clients.
  • Generate reports, create dashboards, and provide insights into audience and data-targeted product trends to maximize efficiencies and identify new advanced targeting opportunities.
  • Provide project management and tracking support to enhance the efficiency of audience-targeted campaign operations, new data-targeted product implementation, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Collaborate with the One Platform Ad Sales group to offer data operations guidance, develop new operational workflows for streamlined convergent projects, and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Manage vendor relationships, identifying and testing ways to leverage their platforms and data for offline and online data convergence.
  • Evaluate data vendors' contributions to campaign fulfillment and data products, ensuring efficient sourcing of audience data.
  • Leverage coding and programming skills to analyze datasets and build strategic audiences.
  • Stay informed about evolving technologies and trends in TV and digital media, building a thorough understanding of the media and advertising ecosystem and its key players.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in media, digital advertising, technology, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Scala, Databricks, Spark, and/or cleanroom environments.
  • Strong analytical skills utilizing spreadsheets, visualization tools, and dashboards.
  • Experience in digital campaign management, analytics, research, and ad operations or TV and addressable advertising is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with DMPs/CDPs and FreeWheel MRM.
  • Knowledge of traditional TV measurement (Nielsen) and digital media math.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex problems, document business requirements, manage timelines, and drive projects to completion.
  • Customer service orientation (for both internal and external customers).
  • Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual curiosity to seek out time-saving solutions and tools.
  • Familiarity with both online and offline data sources and their linkages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
