About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic Limited Partners Operations team at S&P Global Market Intelligence. This role is crucial for managing and analyzing financial documents within our robust operational framework. Successful candidates will bring a keen understanding of Private Equity, Real Estate, and Hedge Funds, including detailed knowledge of various fund structures such as special purpose vehicles and master-feeder funds. Candidates should also have a general understanding of Capital Markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and catalog financial documents received from General Partners.
  • Download, categorize, and tag financial statements from General Partners’ repositories.
  • Analyze and standardize financial statement data across multiple documents.
  • Identify accounting classifications based on cash flow and partners' capital account documentation.
  • Handle exceptions and quality control issues effectively, prudently managing data integrity.
  • Engage in projects with potential to influence the operational direction of the business.

Candidate Profile:

What we look for in a successful candidate includes:

  • Post-graduation in Finance or similar field (MBA, PGDM, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with GAAP principles, MS Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of SQL and Python is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible working hours during peak business cycles.
