Data Analyst Position at Mekdam Technical Services

Position Brief

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join Mekdam Technical Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing analytical and reporting support either to a specific section or department to enhance the overall understanding of our business performance and facilitate informed decision-making.

Functional Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance management dashboards and reports to aid in decision-making.
• Prepare business data and information following established processes, procedures, and systems.
• Utilize approved data collection tools for thorough data analysis and management reporting.
• Ensure all datasets are complete, accurate, and submitted timely for regular reporting cycles.
• Analyze collated business information to identify trends, anomalies and respond to ad-hoc information requests.
• Communicate data analysis findings to a diverse range of stakeholders using various formats and approaches.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure information is utilized to optimize business performance across different units.
• Provide analytical support to identify root causes of operational/business issues as experience permits.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and comply with new work instructions.
• Carry out additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Finance Management, or a related field.
• Accreditation from relevant professional bodies is preferred.
• Possession of a current/valid Qatar Driving License is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in analytical reporting.
• Proficiency in information systems, data collection tools, management reporting, and dTIMS PMS or equivalent systems.
• Experience with databases such as Access, SQL, and Oracle.
• Understanding of asset hierarchy, types, and attributes, particularly for roads assets, is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office packages, especially Microsoft Excel 2010.
• Fluency in English with both verbal and written skills is essential; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
