We are looking for an Analyst Data Engineer and Analyst Data Scientist to join our team, which is expanding rapidly to deliver data science and analytical capabilities on our 100% Azure cloud-based infrastructure. The team will play a critical role in implementing our data strategy that promotes a culture of data native and full data transparency while providing transformative insights across the enterprise.
Data is vital for ClearBank. We need it for everything from stopping terrorist financing, to better understanding our customers. This role is designed for someone who believes in the power of data and how it can leverage to drive the growth of our ambitious organisation.
At Clear Bank, most of our data and analytics revolve around our time-series transactional data and platform process analytics. Our tasks range from creating features to attach to our clients based on their data and behaviours, to using it directly for process mining and development performance of our systems and delivery.
We are building a data community that thrives on self-service capabilities while maintaining high-quality data meaning spreading knowledge, mentoring, and implementing a robust analytics framework is key to success. This community comprises everyone from data engineers and architects to business domain experts, so soft skills are just as important as technical ones.

Requirements
Core Skills and Experience to be acquired during placement
- Familiarise yourself with our Azure Databricks workspace, build confidence in using SQL workspace & setting up analytical clusters.
- Develop into an excellent communicator who loves to promote data and its potential.
- Learn to use data engineering, data science, and analytics tools like Scala, Python, Terraform, Spark, and MLFlow.
- Work with technical and non-technical users on how to leverage data to achieve the best outcomes.
- Become comfortable writing and maintaining machine learning algorithms.
- Gain knowledge and experience with our visualisation tools including PowerBI & Tableau
- Develop good data management practices and understand how these apply to trusted analytics

- Competitive salary between £17,000 - £23,000 per annum / pro rata
- ‘Fresh Air Fridays’ - the option to finish early on a Friday where possible.
