Job Purpose

As a Data Analyst at TRM, you will assist in managing our data systems and support operations. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring data quality, assisting the Data Manager with organization-wide data management (HMIS and Apricot), and fulfilling other operations-related reporting needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand TRM’s mission, vision, values, industry best practices, and funding requirements.
• Serve as database administrator for HMIS and Apricot; design and perform data clean-up and migration.
• Monitor staff data entry quality and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and revise reporting processes and tools (database reports, dashboards, advanced Excel formulas).
• Maintain and clarify Standard Operating Procedures documentation.
• Train staff in data collection, entry, and database best practices; provide ongoing support.
• Coach staff on data quality errors, offering constructive feedback.
• Manage and update Apricot database according to staff and program changes.
• Create and revise database forms as needed.
• Collect, analyze, and report data from various sources.
• Perform ad hoc reporting with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and test solutions.
• Collaborate with external organizations on data-sharing issues.
• Enter data and submit online reports to funders as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned for operational effectiveness.

Working Conditions

Work primarily at a computer, with some local travel to various TRM sites. Interact with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Schedule: Normal business hours with some flexibility.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with relational databases.
• High attention to detail.
• Independent work capability with limited supervision.
• Understanding of exception reporting.
• Experience troubleshooting complex data issues.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to foster teamwork and maintain effective relationships in a diverse environment.
• Vehicle access for travel throughout Pierce County and TRM locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data, IT, Computer Science, Finance, or contract compliance.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis.
• Master proficiency in MS Excel.
• SQL query writing skills.
• Experience with database development and design.
• Experience creating dashboards in Power BI or other visualization tools.
