Our engineering team take pride in their creations and constantly innovate to provide the finest solution. Captivation Software is now seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will gather and analyze data across the customer’s mission space to aid informed decision making. This role involves handling both structured and unstructured data from information advantage activities in support of multi-domain operations. The work will be performed in a hybrid role, with some customer site visits.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Regular tasks involve interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical approaches, and providing reports.
  • Create and implement data exploration techniques, data analytics, and other tactics that enhance data efficiency and quality.
  • Recognize, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalisation, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Offer technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
  • Proven ability to work well independently with minimal input, as well as part of a team.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

  •  A current Secret level security clearance is required thus all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. Bids from candidates with a TS/SCI clearance will also be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security operations related fields and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma with 9 years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • An excellent work ethic and a high commitment to quality.
  • A proven record of working as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Capable of working with stakeholders to evaluate potential risks.
  • Able to translate business requirements into non-technical, simple terms.
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing extensive databases.
  • Proven experience in managing large data sets and relational databases.
  • Technical skill regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (such as Business Objects etc), databases (such as SQL etc), programming (like XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skilled at queries, report creation and presenting findings
  • Must be open to working in a hybrid role, with some requirement for customer site support

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience dealing and consulting with customers is a major advantage.
  • Experience in data mining and sentiment analysis of social media datasets.

  • Annual Salary: $125,000 - $250,000 (Based on years of experience)
