Role Summary

MetaPhase supports FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate to help communities secure funding to prepare against acts of terror and other catastrophic events. We are seeking a junior to mid-level Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience to support the FEMA team at MetaPhase. This role involves streamlining data processes, building dashboards, advising on data strategy, and developing methodologies for grant fund distribution.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of contractors to manage multi-dimensional tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with federal clients and subject matter experts to frame problems and develop data-driven solutions.
• Utilize visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel charts.
• Use SQL for database queries and R or Python for data analysis.
• Support data gathering, reporting, analysis, and verification for data quality.
• Identify tools and technology to eliminate manual data entry and inefficient ETL processes.
• Conduct special projects, research, analysis, and develop reports.

What We Need From You (Required)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics; at least 2 years in federal consulting or client-facing roles.
• Ability to gather non-technical requirements, frame problems, and present data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for both oral and written communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Understanding of database structures and data models.
• Experience with SQL.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Bonus Points (Desired)

• Experience with Python or R.
• Knowledge of Jupiter Analytics.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform.

Work Location

Hybrid: MPC Headquarters (Reston, VA) and FEMA Headquarters (400 C St. SW, Washington, DC)
