As a Data Analyst at Citymapper, you will be responsible for handling the data that underpins the success of our application. Your work will directly influence our user experience and can mean the difference between a user watching a bus drive away or catching it just in time. Millions of users globally depend on our app to arrive timely at work, job interviews, or dates - we take immense pride and responsibility in meeting this need.

What you will do:

• You will assist in managing the timetable data that fuels the Citymapper application. Using exclusive tools and methods, you will convert frequently unorganized transit schedules into polished and dependable user information.
• You will construct, validate, and dispatch data to production on a daily basis.
• You will monitor data in multiple cities and in diverse formats.
• You will collaborate with our engineers to build for scale by enhancing tools and automating tasks.
• You will maintain data quality in our web and mobile products, ensuring users continue to trust and love Citymapper.

Who you are:

• You have up to 3 years of experience dealing with data, Python, and/or conventional transit data formats (GTFS, Siri, HAFAS, TransXChange etc).
• You are passionate about public transportation and cities, and are interested in the operations of public transportation networks.
• You are comfortable handling large data sets, and possess a keen desire to learn new data skills.
• You have a practical and pragmatic approach to your work.
• You possess extraordinary attention to detail and the capability to communicate those details to other team members.
