Job Description

The Data Analytics and Business Intelligence team is positioned at the intersection of the three verticals that form Tradeshift: Pay Automation, Marketplaces, and Small Business; powering every aspect of the entire Tradeshift business and go-to-market strategy through data, fueling swift decision-making, innovation, and agility for all. Its mission is to enable our clients, partners, and Tradeshift to win and grow by leveraging superior data and intelligence reporting.

What you'll be doing:

The Data Analyst is a standalone role in the Global Data and Business Intelligence Team. This role reports directly to the Manager of Analytics and Business Intelligence. It involves aiding all organization-facing data processing and analytics within the company, acting as a crucial link between the business and technical data layers. This role will concentrate on analytics initiatives related to the business in all our internal verticals as well as external stakeholders (Customers, Investors, Platform Users).

What a day is like:

  • Participation in designing and delivering data analytics and insights around the key metrics consumed by our top executives and investors.
  • Taking ownership of supporting Tradeshift's internal and external metrics and product/customer ad-hoc reporting (Analytics).
  • Effectively conveying value propositions through Analytics and presentations to internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of change management, business advancement, or team performance.
  • Assisting in data analysis and insights of Tradeshift Network data.
  • Supporting data analysis and insights of Tradeshift Operational data.
  • Development and upkeep of customer-facing reports.
  • Supporting the implementation of data-based automation opportunities within the operational and global business metrics data landscape.
  • Designing, Creating, and Standardizing dashboards, presentations, and insights.
  • Recommending data input guidelines to achieve consistency and completeness across all our data.
  • Supporting go-to-market strategy and development of business cases with data.
  • Managing and collaborating with multiple project resource professionals and colleagues from other departments or customers.

Qualifications

You’re a perfect fit for this role if you:

Have 2+ years of experience working with large data (>10k data points)

Are capable of:

  • Working with and formatting the data to answer business questions.
  • Defining and designing metrics based on the business needs.
  • Supporting company goals and targets with data.
  • Interpreting numbers for a wide range of applications in the business context
  • Solving math equations and problems involving fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and time calculations.
  • Setting up processes and systems to streamline work with data and ensure data consistency.
  • Researching novel ways to utilize data
  • Creating reports and charts to communicate trends within data to non-specialists
  • Presenting information generated from data to clients and managers.

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to expert skill competency with Excel, any reporting tool like Domo, Tableau, etc., data processing
  • Intermediate or better with PL/SQL (functions and procedures), Spark/Scala
  • Beginner level or nice-to-have skills like VBA, JavaScript, and Python
  • Ability to equip oneself with the latest data analytics methodologies
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A methodical and logical approach
  • Knowledge of the e-commerce/e-invoice domain is a plus
