Leader Name: Senior Manager, Data Analysis

As ATB’s next Data Analyst you will be a catalyst in analyzing data and insights to identify unique opportunities that will support our working and leadership teams to make decisions.

You have demonstrated exceptional talent in identifying various sources of data, analyzing vast volumes of data and turning that into digestible information. You will work cross functionally across the business to create measurements which will help the CXT (Client Experience and Technology) team be successful in our short and medium term outcomes on our way to supporting the delivery of ATB’s 2030 strategy.

The Reporting, Insights and Performance team sits at the intersection of business teams, Data Analytics and Data Engineering. It is responsible for bringing robust, efficient, and integrated data models, frameworks and analysis to life. Our team, Strategic Insights & Decision Support, speaks the language of business and technical teams, and are able to translate data insights and analysis needs into models powered by our Enterprise Data Platform. The successful candidate is able to blend business acumen with technical expertise and transition between business strategy, data operations and insight development.

As a team member with the Reporting, Insights and Performance Team at ATB, you can expect:

• Each week, month and quarter will require you to build on what you've learned previously as we’re learning, iterating and making big steps towards our vision of executing our 2030 Strategy.
• We focus on outcomes, not outputs. You will typically be presented with problems to solve and not tasks to complete.

• You will be part of building an effective horizontal data team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models
• Determine opportunities through analysis to move key success measures
• Develop and maintain data models aligned with key enterprise measures and collaborate with teams for continuous improvement
• Establish value realization measurement process to enable the capability to track, evaluate and assess the value generated by initiatives over the long term
• Support the development and roll-out of analysis, methodologies and frameworks related to data driven decision making, benefits tracking, and data processes

Requirements

• A strong understanding and skill-set in data analysis and data visualization (e.g. statistical analysis and Tableau or other visualization software)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and how to write efficient SQL queries
• Great communication - regularly achieve consensus amongst technical and business teams
• The ability to work with a blank slate, often times navigating in ambiguity and working to find solutions without a proven path always laid out in front of you

Nice to haves:

• Experience in data modeling
• Understanding of a programming language
• Advanced spreadsheet skills
• Banking industry knowledge
