Position Summary

The Data Analyst, Operational Services will report to the Manager of Operational Services and develop data-as-a-product solutions related to operational delivery. You will proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, translating them into data products that enable decision-making. Ensuring that data products are fit for purpose and deliver optimal value is key. Your work will encompass projects such as annual reports, customer project support, analytic and visualization activities, and internal management reporting.

Working closely with teams including Corporate Engagement and Partnerships, Global Programs, and Technology, you will support data-based decision-making across the organization. A deep understanding of our systems, data flow, and complex datasets is essential. As a subject matter expert in Power BI and supply chain reporting, you will promote independent use of established reports and enhance reporting capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to compile and summarize data for management decisions and client needs.
  • Work cross-departmentally to drive insights from data.
  • Ensure data metrics and quality practices are implemented and shared ethically.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting capabilities by sharing best practices.
  • Roll out dashboards and support project-related implementations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential biases and reporting risks.
  • Establish standardized methods for gathering regional insights and integrate them into internal reports.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate data efficiently to maximize engagement and usability.

Key Deliverables

  • Transform stakeholder requests into meaningful reports and insights with self-service capabilities.
  • Lead the deployment and improvement of self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Champion automation with scalable solutions fitting stakeholder requirements.
  • Serve as the organizational expert in Power BI.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting as prioritized with the Manager, Operational Services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or data analysis preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data reporting and analysis.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain traceability preferred.
  • Practical experience with Rainforest Alliance supply chain and traceability systems preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Expertise in Excel.
