For over a century, the NCBA CLUSA has strived to promote and safeguard cooperative enterprises, emphasizing their role in improving individual and family lives. We currently operate in over 20 countries across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

The Resilient Agriculture Activity (RAA) is a two-year cooperative arrangement funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and administered by NCBA CLUSA. RAA aims at preventing increases in poverty, food insecurity, and malnutrition in the Dominican Republic brought about by rising food, fuel, and fertilizer costs. RAA will accomplish this by promoting sustainable soil fertility management, sustainable and improved agricultural practices, like more efficient use of fertilizers. RAA will also encourage local organic fertilizer production to lessen reliance on international markets. A more efficient agriculture sector that is less dependent on imported fertilizers will strengthen the country’s ability to meet its food security needs domestically.
