Position Summary

The Aetna Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Data Analytics team is seeking a data-driven individual who can analyze big data and craft meaningful stories through data aggregation and reporting. This role supports our growing business needs with a person who has a strong understanding of relational databases, medical and pharmaceutical claim data, and query development and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist project teams with query creation and reporting tools.
• Timely submission of regulatory reporting related to fraud, waste, and abuse activities.
• Analyze large data sets to identify, interpret, and present trends.
• Create and communicate messages based on data analyses, including preparing visualizations and related documents for diverse audiences.
• Improve data quality and understand data nuances.
• Collaborate with advisers from key functional areas to align project work and execute activities.
• Research data discrepancies and identify new data sources to support FWA initiatives.
• Influence changes to business processes, policies, and system infrastructure to improve data quality and access.

Work Location

This is a remote position based in the US, ideally supporting East Coast hours.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of data interpretation and analysis experience using SAS and SQL.
• 1+ year of experience with medical & pharmaceutical claim data interpretation.
• 1+ year of advanced Excel functions experience.
• 1+ year of project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall experience, with Python experience being a plus.
• Experience in healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Strong business and systems knowledge.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicaid healthcare claims data and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims adjudication.
• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Compensation

The typical pay range for this role is $63,300.00 - $139,200.00. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors such as experience, education, and geography. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs in addition to the base pay range.
