Job Brief
We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst with a background in developing high-performance, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will join a talented software team dedicated to mission-critical applications and be tasked with overseeing application development through all software development life cycle stages—from concept and design to testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate innovative technologies and tools while establishing standard design patterns and best practices for the team.
- Build and deploy AWS clusters and optimize the environment.
- Create and deploy modular data pipeline components such as Apache Airflow DAGs, AWS Glue jobs, and AWS Glue crawlers.
- Translate Business or Functional Requirements into actionable technical build specifications.
- Collaborate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of data sources.
- Work closely with product teams to deliver data products in a collaborative and agile environment.
- Perform data analysis and onboarding activities as new data sources are integrated into the platform.
- Apply data modeling techniques to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval for data consumers.
- Manage multiple projects involving AWS requirement building.
- Contribute to the Change Management process.
Required Skill Set
- Proficiency in AWS Data processing, Analytics, and Storage Services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Step Function, Lambda, etc.
- Experience with data extraction and delivery from various databases including Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres, RDS.
- Competence in coding languages such as Python, SQL, YAML, and Spark (PySpark).
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or similar pipeline orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of AWS Serverless services such as Fargate, SNS, SQS, Lambda.
- Experience with containerized workloads and utilizing cloud services like AWS ECS, ECR, and Fargate for scaling and organizing workloads.
- Applied knowledge in data modeling and collaboration with analytics teams to design efficient data structures and clusters.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments.
- Expertise in versioning software like GitLab, SVN, etc.
- Familiarity with modern software delivery methods such as TDD, BDD, and CI/CD.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, documentation, and versioning.
