Position Title: Data Analyst

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and managing requested ad-hoc reports and other interim schedules.

Role Exposure:

• Provide and serve immediate queries and ad-hoc reports to requesting units.
• Ensure the requested data pertains only to the requestor's own Responsibility Center (Branch/Head Office units) and that requests are properly endorsed by the appropriate Supervising Area/Division/Region/Group Head; SGV and BSP interim report requests must be approved/endorsed by the Institutional Accounting Division (IAD).
• Understand and analyze report specifications and existing data sources to generate the required reports.
• Develop programs or templates and formulate logics in writing programs/scripts using Oracle tools based on report specifications provided by requesting units.
• Perform necessary tests to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the requested reports, in coordination with the requesting units.
• Analyze data discrepancies and assess the relevance of data elements in response to report requirements; advise the Data Quality Department (DQD) for necessary data cleanup, retagging, and adjustments.
• Process and generate reports on or before the stipulated time; explain any delays and unavailability of required data to the requesting units.
• Ensure the accuracy of submitted reports through random data validation against other available source systems such as General Ledger, Deposit, and Loan systems.
• Deliver reports to the requesting units/branches promptly via File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Managed FTP, or email facilities.
• Address and evaluate issues/problems raised by users regarding their reportorial requirements.
• Coordinate with the Data Quality Department (DQD) when needed data is not available and report data sources with discrepancies for data cleanup.
• Keep abreast of changes in databases and business rules for acquiring data from production sources.
• Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Accounting Technology.
• Accounting courses are an advantage.
• Experience in PL/SQL exposure during an internship is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are preferred.
