About Financial and Mobility Services at Volvo Cars

We are part of the Financial and Mobility Services team within Volvo Cars, and we need your expertise to help us compile a comprehensive database of financial information and insights from our global insurance and finance partners. This is a significant task, but we are ready to embark on it because it is a crucial element of our aspirations to expand the contribution of insurance and finance within the Volvo Cars ecosystem, ultimately providing additional value for our customers.

Role Overview

Our goal within Volvo Cars' Financial and Mobility Services unit, part of Global Commercial Operations, is to enhance support for our local sales teams globally by delivering valuable data and insights from our network of financial and insurance partners.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage, collect, systemize, and govern insurance and financial data across all markets to support and track sales performance.
  • Provide analytical insights and decision support to foster growth, improve customer offers, and boost revenue.
  • Create a centralized database of financial services information from our global partners, designing tables, mapping partner data, and developing essential reports and insights.
  • Collaborate with our team to set up connections between partners using APIs or SFTP, and leverage our existing data platform, Snowflake.
  • Define clean, reliable data, and establish a reporting server for our global team to build reports in PowerBI.
  • Negotiate and secure necessary data from financial partners, map data to common fields, and build tables in our data warehouse.
  • Develop reports that summarize data across providers, delivering powerful insights to enhance the support local sales companies receive from financial services partners.
  • Lead special projects involving large sets of data, working hands-on in a transformative, cross-functional environment with the freedom to innovate reporting models and governance methods.

Requirements

  • 2-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with SFTP, data flows, and data marts.
  • Preferred experience in building and managing data gathering via APIs.
  • Advantageous experience in actuarial, pricing, or underwriting within insurance.
  • Highly skilled in Excel, Power-BI, SQL, and data visualization.
