Job Description:

As a Data Analytics Consultant, you will work under technical direction to design, analyze, and model organizational and third-party data. Your work will provide crucial business insights that enhance decision-making processes and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver reporting and analytics services, leveraging diverse data sources to enhance business decisions.
  • Adhere to and implement enterprise data standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our Data and Analytics team by improving data availability and quality.
  • In charge of data modeling to evaluate business performance and operational changes.
  • Interpret data and conduct relevant analyses to generate actionable insights.
  • Monitor industry trends and deliver strategic insights to support the management of business areas.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards regarding sensitive and confidential information.
  • Collaborate with other analytical teams and participate in special projects.
  • Develop dashboards and prepare reports for different business units.
  • Respond to and fulfill ad-hoc data requests.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in data analytics, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong grasp of insurance company operations and various analytical concepts.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, and cloud technologies; experience with GCP is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Crystal Reports, and Web Intelligence is beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with careful attention to detail.
  • Adept at working independently or as part of a team, efficiently managing time and resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the knack for prioritizing pressing tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Typically requires a minimum of four years of related experience.
