Job Summary: Data Analytics Engineer Sr. Consultant

As a Data Analytics Engineer Sr. Consultant at Allstate, you will leverage data and analytics to answer complex questions and influence business strategy. You’ll communicate findings to senior management and develop standards around data retrieval, manipulation, reporting, and analytics, while coaching and developing less experienced analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, clean, organize, and analyze complex data to understand business results
  • Establish, modify, and document standards of practice around data processes
  • Utilize data analytics expertise to mentor less experienced analysts
  • Make business insights derived from data accessible to non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Monitor and evaluate business initiatives against key performance indicators
  • Communicate project information and provide presentations to management
  • Influence strategy through data and analytics

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience (Preferred)
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include supervisory duties.

Certifications and Licenses

No certifications, licenses, or registrations are required for this position.

Functional Skills

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python/R
  • General insurance knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Big Data

Compensation for this role is based on experience and qualifications. Candidates offered this position will undergo a background investigation, including a drug screen.
