Join FocusKPI as a Data Modeler/Analytics Engineer

FocusKPI is seeking a skilled Data Modeler/Analytics Engineer to join our client's expanding team. This role involves leading analyses and generating valuable insights into user behavior and product performance.

Work Location: Remote - Anywhere in the US

Duration: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion based on performance

Pay Range: $35 - $50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Transition DBT models from SparkSQL to Redshift
• Understand and ensure business logic within existing data models aligns with new requirements
• Perform CI/CD work involving Python, GitHub Actions, and Airflow
• Support new product launches, A/B testing, ramp-up recommendations, and root cause investigations
• Continuously explore datasets and leverage new techniques for data investigation
• Incorporate external data sources to enhance market knowledge
• Communicate complex data findings clearly to multi-disciplinary teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, marketing, finance, etc.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses for high-impact business inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field (MS preferred)
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Proficiency in DBT, Redshift, and Spark
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Proficiency in Python, GitHub, and Airflow is a plus
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders from various business functions
• Ability to manage large-scale data efficiently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in Financial Services or FinTech is preferred
