Join Our Team as a Data Analytics Lead
Become a pivotal part of JPMorgan Chase & Co. by taking on the role of Data Analytics Lead. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee Control Program data analytics for Asset & Wealth Management and Consumer & Community Banking. Working closely with partners across various business lines, you will support Control data programs, Committee materials, and analytics initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
As the Data Analytics Lead – Vice President, you will:
- Lead and develop an enhanced control reporting and insights framework, providing a comprehensive view of the control environment, and highlighting elevated or emerging risks.
- Own the full lifecycle of deliverables, including stakeholder communications and implementing scalable, automated solutions.
- Enhance internal risk and control programs by conducting end-to-end analysis, from data extraction to reporting and visualization, and communicating insights to senior management.
- Lead various strategic projects and process enhancements.
Work Location: Candidates must be able to work in our Columbus, OH, Wilmington, DE, or Plano, TX offices 3 days a week, with remote work from home for 2 days per week. The schedule will be coordinated by direct management.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Review and analyze control/risk data (e.g., KRI/KPI, Emerging Issues) to identify trends and support business programs and strategies.
- Provide leadership for the end-to-end execution of the CORE Control Reporting Program, including escalation of control breaks, regulatory exposure, and potential reputational risks.
- Engage with control colleagues across the firm, including business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions.
- Drive efficient governance and escalation protocols through optimized committee frameworks and robust change management controls.
- Manage preparation of business reviews, talking points, minutes, and agendas.
- Assist with long-term planning and strategy projects to develop insights into reporting and trending analysis.
- Participate and provide thought leadership in driving regulatory response, risk mitigation, risk transformation, and risk intelligence efforts.
- Ensure operational practices comply with relevant risk standards, policies, and regulations to maintain an effective control environment.
- Identify and challenge meaningful metrics to inform the health of the operational risk and control environment.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in finance, business management, controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a focus on innovation and change.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
- Analytic and investigative mindset with the ability to provide qualitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Qlikview.
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, finance, business management, controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
- Proven analytical thinker with the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems thoughtfully.
- Experience working within a matrix organization and across global regions.
