Job Description: Data Architect Responsibilities

Data Architecture Design: Take the lead in crafting and documenting advanced data architecture solutions that include data models, data integration patterns, and data storage mechanisms.

Data Governance: Work in collaboration with data stewards to implement comprehensive data governance policies to assure data integrity, security, and compliance.

Data Strategy Execution: Collaborate with engineering managers and our data engineering team to implement data solutions that align with our strategic goals.

Data Integration: Work closely with solution architects and data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines within our overall data architecture.

Data Quality Assurance: Supervise data quality control measures and monitoring to maintain the accuracy and reliability of our data. You will also play a vital role in enhancing our models and pipelines.

Data Warehouse Migration: Lead strategic planning and execution in migrating our current in-house data warehouse to Snowflake, optimizing risk management and planning.

Cloud Optimization: Focus on fully leveraging Snowflake’s capabilities for optimizing data storage and retrieval processes for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

Data Expertise: Extensive experience in data engineering, data modeling, database design, data warehousing, and data governance is crucial.

Cloud Data Warehousing: Hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing technologies, particularly Snowflake, is highly desirable. Expertise in Snowflake architecture and scaling capabilities will be a significant advantage.

Migration Expertise: Proven background in data warehouse migration projects, with a strong understanding of migration tools, strategies, and challenges in shifting from an on-premise to a cloud-based environment.

Data Strategy: Ability to develop and steer data architecture strategies that bolster data-driven decisions and future organizational growth.

Data Standards: Deep comprehension of best practices and standards in data management, security, and quality.

Collaboration: Outstanding communication and teamwork skills essential for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
