About the Role - Data Engineer

As part of the JLL Technologies Enterprise Data team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a pioneering team tasked with reshaping the business landscape of commercial real estate through data-driven solutions. The Enterprise Data team, a central part of our technological expansion, plays a pivotal role in JLL’s data strategy. We are in search of a Data Engineer who is proactive, innovative, and thrives in a diverse, fast-paced global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable cloud-based data infrastructure using SQL and PySpark.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, pinpoint potential data sources, and define data ingestion strategies.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of effective data pipeline frameworks.
  • Address challenges related to data processing, data quality, and pipeline performance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud data engineering and SQL/PySpark.
  • Document all data-related processes ensuring continuity and efficiency in team workflows.

Who You Are:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.
  • Expertise in SQL, PySpark, and extensive experience in large-scale data projects.
  • Skilled in various testing and integration frameworks with a profound understanding of DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the capability to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
