We are seeking a skilled Product Software Data Engineer to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate data within our data warehouse using diverse technologies and deliver data insights through sophisticated visualizations and dashboards. Working closely with our data science team, you will build data pipelines for numerous projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data using state-of-the-art methods.
  • Build and maintain ETL jobs to ensure data from multiple sources such as RDBMS, Salesforce, flat files, JSON files, and DynamoDB is up to date in the data warehouse.
  • Create and maintain visualizations and dashboards using top-notch visualization tools.
  • Provide business insights by analyzing complex data.
  • Assist data scientists in building data pipelines.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present results.
  • Create automated anomaly detection systems and track their performance continuously.
  • Collaborate with users and internal resources to define and refine requirements.
  • Be an informal resource for less experienced colleagues to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in identifying product and process changes to help the team advance and meet its goals effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of overall experience in data engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in AWS Cloud.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS Glue or Talend ETL tools.
  • 1+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in writing and debugging complex SQL queries.
  • Experience transforming complex data structures like JSON and XML files.
  • Experience working with AWS platforms such as S3 and Redshift data warehouse.
  • Python programming experience is preferred.
  • Experience in building APIs is desirable.
  • Stay updated on relevant technology trends and developments.
  • Experience in creating detailed technical documentation and analysis, with the ability to understand and appreciate the opinions of others.
  • Capability to weigh specific technical trade-offs to maximize impact and effort.
  • Highly motivated, organized, proactive self-starter and team player.
  • Data-oriented personality.

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our team, leveraging your expertise to advance our data functionality and drive business insights.
