Join the dynamic North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Central Operations as a talented and motivated Data Engineer. You will be an integral part of the Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools (QuBIT) team where your expertise will help innovate and enhance data management across our expansive network.

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will take on the responsibility of building a data lake and implementing robust data pipelines. These pipelines will integrate data from various Fulfillment and Transportation applications providing comprehensive data access across our NACF network. You'll be pivotal in providing visibility from Fulfillment Center teams straight through to corporate leadership. With hundreds of fulfillment centers shipping millions of packages, each data point represents an opportunity for optimization, impacting pricing and service quality for our customers globally.

Key Job Responsibilities

Your role will involve being proactive about learning new technologies and designing and implementing data solutions to empower internal stakeholders and scale existing platforms. You will explore complex business problems and deliver innovative data-driven solutions that enable operational excellence in our Fulfillment Centers. Strong communication, a self-driven attitude, and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this position.

Potential candidates can be based in Arlington, VA; Bellevue, WA; or Nashville, TN.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline construction
  • Experience with various query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, and others
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or KornShell
  • An understanding of distributed systems related to data storage and computing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica, ODI, SSIS, and others
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure is a plus
