About the Role

As part of our dynamic Data Engineering team, this role situates you at the heart of our technological innovation. Teaming up with skilled Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists, you will drive the development of top-tier data products that are integral to the core functionalities of our app.

The ideal candidate is someone who is not only passionate about data but also possesses substantial expertise in computer science, along with hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, or machine learning. A keen interest in professional sports, betting, or eSports will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement event-driven distributed systems for processing voluminous data while ensuring seamless integration with downstream services.
  • Construct real-time data pipelines and collaborate closely with data science teams to establish premier SDLC and MLOps processes.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize data science models, overseeing the design and upkeep of comprehensive data systems.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of our data platforms, contribute to SLO definition and adherence, and maintain crucial systems, tools, and infrastructure.

About You

  • A robust foundation in computer science emphasizing data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and sophisticated software design.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering, with proficiency in Python and a compiled language such as Java, Go, or Elixir.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Kafka, Pub/Sub, or other streaming platforms, and adeptness with orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases, SQL, and setting up CI/CD pipelines for machine learning projects.
  • Competence in a major cloud platform like AWS, GCP, or Azure, coupled with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
