As a Data Engineer at Lalamove, you will be joining the expanding Data Warehouse team to design, build, and maintain our data warehouse. Data is only useful when it's understood. Other data teams in the company, including the BI team, the Data Science team, the Optimization team, and Data Analysts in varying functions, rely on the clean and processed data in the centralized data warehouse to maximize business impact. The data warehouse team will be responsible for the design of the data warehouse, as well as the data pipeline for its processing.
What you will do:
- Implement the data warehouse bearing in mind the best practices
- Design, implement and optimize ETL data pipelines
- Work with upstream consumers and downstream users, to translate and integrate requirements into our data models
- Comprehend, document, and maintain business definitions, data dictionary, and data mapping
What you will need:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data engineering
- Significant experience in SQL and Python
- Extensive experience in building complex ETL pipelines
- Experience in the Hadoop ecosystem, such as Hive, Impala, Spark, Flink etc.
- Good knowledge of data warehouse framework, and data model design theory
- Proficiency in English, fluency in Mandarin is beneficial
- Good communication skills with stakeholders
