Mission and Objectives

At Group IT Global Applications, our goals are to support business operations and partner with them to ensure efficiency and profitability. We implement global standards and integrate all operational units into a unified IT service model, qualifying the business requirements and defending them in dealings with the global group IT functions.

Your Role

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and making data-driven decisions across the organization. Ideal candidates will have robust experience in data engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for working with data.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain data infrastructures, including data pipelines, warehouses, and databases.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing validation, testing, and data control processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures on data security and privacy.
  • Optimize data processing and storage performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior data engineers and analysts.
  • Contributing to the development of data-centric solutions and products.

Your Profile

Candidates should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL and GCP.
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, particularly BigQuery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Significant knowledge of and experience in data security and data privacy protection.
  • Prior experience in agile development methodologies is a plus.
