Position Summary

What You'll Do
- Build and maintain optimal data platform and pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to automate and optimize data delivery.
- Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and GCP technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to address data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
- Create data tools for analytics team members, aiding the optimization of our product.
- Partner with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of our data systems.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases.
- Experience in building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- Proficient in root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
- Strong analytic skills to work with unstructured datasets.
- Experience in data transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Experience with message queuing, stream processing, and scalable 'big data' stores.
- Solid project management and organizational skills.
- Strong cross-functional team collaboration in dynamic environments.
We are seeking candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience in a Data Engineer role and a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. Experience with the following tools is essential:
- Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
- Relational SQL and NoSQL databases: Big Query, Cassandra.
- Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow.
- GCP cloud services: GCS, Dataproc, Dataplex.
- Stream-processing systems: Spark-Streaming, Storm.
- Object-oriented scripting languages: Python, Scala.
