Position Summary

Join our team of engineering experts in the Finance Data Factory as a Data Engineer. We are seeking a skilled professional to expand, optimize, and maintain our data and pipeline architecture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building data pipelines and optimizing data systems.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain optimal data platform and pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to automate and optimize data delivery.
• Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and GCP technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to address data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
• Create data tools for analytics team members, aiding the optimization of our product.
• Partner with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of our data systems.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases.
• Experience in building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Proficient in root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
• Strong analytic skills to work with unstructured datasets.
• Experience in data transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Experience with message queuing, stream processing, and scalable 'big data' stores.
• Solid project management and organizational skills.
• Strong cross-functional team collaboration in dynamic environments.

We are seeking candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience in a Data Engineer role and a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. Experience with the following tools is essential:

• Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases: Big Query, Cassandra.
• Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow.
• GCP cloud services: GCS, Dataproc, Dataplex.
• Stream-processing systems: Spark-Streaming, Storm.
• Object-oriented scripting languages: Python, Scala.
