We are looking for a skilled Senior Consultant Data Engineer with a robust background in development. This role involves discovering new data solutions, driving innovation, and embracing challenges in the ever-evolving payments industry.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be crucial in shaping our data engineering efforts. Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers to develop and refine data-driven solutions.
• Leading projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with business requirements and our architectural vision.
• Creating essential documentation on architecture and design, facilitating design reviews, and addressing potential challenges and solutions.
• Engaging with the Business to define and clarify requirements, ensuring solutions meet their needs effectively.
• Playing a vital role in continuous integration efforts across various engineering teams.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role that allows flexibility in working both remotely and from the office, catering to business needs and enhancing work-life balance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants should have at least 13 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the following is highly advantageous:

• Designing and architecting robust data pipelines and solutions.
• Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and experience with RDBMS such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of graph processing technologies is a plus.
