Role Overview
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Leader in Data Engineering to head our talented Data Engineering teams. This role is crucial for enhancing our big data infrastructure and streamlining data processing capabilities to bolster Optasia’s continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Leader, you will:
- Provide strategic direction and technical expertise in data engineering.
- Select appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies to meet project needs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data technologies and ensure adherence to industry standards in data engineering practices.
- Advocate for robust data governance and ensure data integrity and security compliance.
- Collaborate with various experts within the company like ML Engineers and System Administrators to design and support advanced data processing workflows.
- Mentor and lead teams towards achieving high-quality software designs and solutions in big data.
- Enhance and maintain the company’s infrastructure for batch and streaming data pipelines.
What You Will Bring
Our ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a solid understanding of data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
- Extensive experience with both relational and NoSQL technologies, as well as systems administration in Linux.
- Demonstrable experience with distributed systems, data engineering tools, and CI/CD orchestration.
- Optional: Experience with Hadoop/Spark streaming, infrastructure coding tools like Ansible, and data workflow tools such as Apache Airflow or Apache NiFi.
