This position is for a Data Engineer with development experience who will concentrate on developing new capabilities in the Data field while improving our code base and development procedures. In this role, you will need to be a competent developer capable of working within an agile scrum team in a flexible environment. You must have robust technical leadership, problem-solving capacity, coding, testing, and debugging skills, among others. You should be committed to fulfilling product backlog and delivering production-ready code. You should be ready to go beyond the ordinary and be open to a range of tasks.
You will be a significant part of the development team, occasionally working on new designs and constructs to develop a new product or service from scratch while also making adjustments to an existing system to incorporate new features or refactor existing functionality for performance and maintainability. You will always strive to make us more efficient and provide superior solutions to our end customers. You'll be involved in various hands-on activities, including design, documentation, development, and testing of new features. You must be prepared to switch tasks based on the team's requirements.

Essential Functions
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can switch between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days per week (as decided by leadership/site), with a general guideline of being present in the office about 50% or more of the time based on business needs. This arrangement can change as per HR policies periodically.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
• 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 1.5+ years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Experience in developing data-driven business solutions and solving data problems using a broad range of technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark SQL, Spark API's MongoDB, NoSQL, as well as conventional data technologies like RDBMS, MySQL.
• Proficient knowledge of various Data warehouse techniques.
• Expertise in performance tuning on data pipelines to scale data up to petabytes.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages like Python
• Experience with the Unix environment and proficiency in shell scripting.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in managing a production environment concerning issue identification and resolution.
• Experience in working with stakeholders across different time zones.
• Experience or knowledge of Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, etc.
• Experience or familiarity with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
Good to have:
• Experience with Data catalog and Data governance requirements is beneficial.
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Tableau is advantageous
• Experience with in-memory cubing applications like SSAS is beneficial.
• Experience with distributed cubing engines like Atscale is useful.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions like Snowflake/BigTable/BigQuery is advantageous.
