About the Position: Data Engineer

We are searching for a Data Engineer to join our talented Data Science Team at LEAP Commerce. If you have a fervor for data, desire to establish strategic visions, and are eager to create new customer-centric experiences, we need you!

What You'll Do:

• Implement internal process improvements: optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for enhanced scalability, and automating manual processes.
• Develop infrastructure for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from varied sources using state-of-the-art technologies like AWS, Azure, and SQL.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to fulfill their data needs and resolve technical issues.
• Create and maintain important business metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform business decisions.
• Communicate and document technical solutions and design decisions effectively.
• Evaluate and recommend innovative tools, technologies, and processes to enhance business operations.

Who You Are:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Experience in building data infrastructure and data ingestion pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud services from Amazon/Azure, including EC2 and S3, and a strong background in Data Warehousing/ETL concepts.
• Able to tackle ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a high-velocity environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, capable of clearly explaining complex technical data to a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Over 2 years of industry experience in data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
• A keen understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• A critical thinker, detail-oriented, and passionate about customer behavior analysis.
