Job Description: Data Engineer

As a talented Data Engineer at Reveal Healthtech, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure. Working cross-functionally, you will automate processes, enhance system reliability, and scale our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Ingestion: Develop pipelines for collecting and loading data from multiple sources into the data lake, ensuring high-quality and integrity.
• Data Transformation and Preparation: Clean, filter, and aggregate data to prepare it for analysis.
• Data Modeling and Architecture: Design schemas and optimize storage in the data lake for efficient data retrieval.
• Data Governance and Security: Implement governance policies and ensure data compliance with privacy regulations.
• Tableau Integration: Create engaging visualizations and reports using Tableau to facilitate data exploration and analysis.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously enhance the performance of data transfers and storage solutions.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Cooperate with various teams and document processes for future reference.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala), SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (Apache Spark, Airbyte, Meltano, Singer) and big data frameworks (Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Proficiency in working with data lakes (Iceberg/S3, Parquet), data warehouses, and distributed storage systems.
