About the Role: Associate Regulatory Data Analyst

The Data Insights + Analytics Group at the SF Fed plays a crucial role by collecting, validating, and providing high-quality data that supports the Federal Reserve’s supervisory and monetary policy objectives. As an Associate Regulatory Data Analyst in the NIC Banking Structure & Analysis Team, you will ensure the accuracy of banking structure information in the National Information Center (NIC) database. This data is vital as it relates to the organizational structure and activities of financial institutions used across the Federal Reserve System, other regulatory agencies, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze information from various sources including other departments within the Reserve Bank, other regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
  • Assess data for accuracy and correspond with financial institutions regarding reporting requirements.
  • Monitor data for compliance issues and communicate relevant information across the Federal Reserve system.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving work processes, enhancing data quality, supporting users, and developing automation tools.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience, including internships.
  • BA/BS degree in economics, banking, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of database concepts is required, and United States Citizenship is a must.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of banking and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reports such as FR Y-10, FR Y-6, and FR Y-7.
  • Ability to interpret banking laws and regulations like BHC Act and Regulation Y.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range from $60,600 to $96,800, dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
