The Chief Data Office at Santander Bank is seeking a meticulous and skilled Senior Analyst/Associate to elevate our Data Management Quality Control program. This role is pivotal in assuring that our data management efforts align with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines by effectively identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of our data systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Implement a robust Data Management Quality Control (QC) program ensuring adherence to standards and resolving any data-related issues promptly.
  • Assess and validate the efficacy of data management projects including the monitoring of data lifecycle from creation to remediation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure compliance with data quality standards and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze business processes and utilize root cause analysis to enhance data governance practices.
  • Engage with Data Management Governance teams providing essential feedback and driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop and perform tests on data management processes and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Support the management in addressing and mitigating data quality deficiencies.
  • Represent the department in audits and ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Information Systems, Regulatory Compliance, or Data Governance.
  • Proficient in using statistical tools (Excel, Access, SPSS, Python) and understanding of data governance principles.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, adaptable to changing priorities and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytic, organizational, and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

This role requires minimal physical effort with occasional moving and lifting. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds and perform physical activities required in meeting setups and management.
