Your Role

As a Data Management Software Engineer II within our Corporate Sector, you'll be part of an agile team focused on enhancing, designing, and delivering top-tier technology products. You'll execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system.

Located within the Chief Technology Office as part of Global Technology at JPMorgan Chase, the Data Management group operates firmwide, collaborating with different business lines to deliver innovative data management products and solutions. Our mission is to evolve using best-in-class tools and technologies to manage vast amounts of data, enabling AI/ML initiatives and providing market-leading capabilities. We follow a product operating model to deliver outcomes to our customers quickly and securely.

Job Responsibilities

  • Solve complex cloud problems by building cloud data solutions
  • Develop first-class automation operating models for stability, sustainability, and development velocity
  • Implement acceptance tests to meet business goals and specifications
  • Create integration between on-premises enterprise systems and cloud data provider services
  • Provide in-depth technology solutions to customer business problems
  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems
  • Improve value realized by automation through the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain
  • Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity
  • Develop secure, stable code and systems
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 2+ years of applied experience
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, or Go
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with Web Scalability, high availability architecture, load balancing, scale out, AWS services, and Snowflake Database Architecture
  • Knowledge of ETL pipelines, Kubernetes, RESTful API development, and Hashicorp Terraform
  • Experience in reviewing data architecture and implementing detailed design
  • Experience with PCI and sensitive data workloads

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies

Note: This is a Hybrid Office Work Position based in Plano, TX. It is not a remote-only position.
