Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000 based on experience and other factors.

Job Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a dedicated Data Manager Specialist to be a part of a passionate team supporting a critical mission for our customer in Chantilly, VA. As a Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the American people and enhancing national safety, security, and prosperity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of multimedia data.
  • Loading data sent on physical media into data repositories and analytical tools.
  • Working with data owners to complete data submission forms accurately and comprehensively.
  • Initiating data provenance records in the customer's catalog system.
  • Sending and receiving cables related to data collection and loading processes.
  • Monitoring quality control and managing records and tickets describing data processes.
  • Coordinating with and transmitting data to other authorized government agencies.
  • Supporting our customer's mission to provide national security-related information to US government policy makers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance.
  • 8 years of experience with a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Business Administration or Technology-related field (5 years of relevant lifecycle data management experience within those 8 years); OR 6 years of experience with an MS/MA degree; OR 3 years of experience with a PhD. 5-7 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with the customer's data governance process.
  • Familiarity with the customer's cable system.
