Position Overview

DEFTEC Corporation is currently seeking a Data Manager Analyst to join our team in support of the Space Training and Readiness Command Human Capital Directorate (S1). The S1 is integral to STARCOM, offering comprehensive personnel support, systems and program integration, manpower support, and oversight of civilian pay within the United States Space Force (USSF) and United States Air Force (USAF). Our Data Manager will plan, develop, implement, and manage information systems for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval to ensure STARCOM forces excel in a Contested, Degraded, and Operationally Limited (CDO) environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Documenting and delivering file plans
  • Maintaining electronic files and websites using web-based applications
  • Analyzing and recommending data requirements and specifications
  • Designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases
  • Maintaining, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems software
  • Planning for data capacity changes
  • Developing and administering data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Implementing data mining and data warehousing programs
  • Evaluating new database technologies and architectures
  • Applying information security/cybersecurity policies rigorously
  • Performing Microsoft SharePoint administration duties
  • Providing technical support for the SharePoint environment
  • Configuring SharePoint services and settings
  • Documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture
  • Managing site quotas and file size limits
  • Monitoring usage reports
  • Managing and creating content databases
  • Administering and maintaining SharePoint sites
  • Managing site layout structure and content
  • Providing SharePoint support to end users

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of data management experience with USAF or USSF programs
  • 3+ years of technical support experience for SharePoint
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
