Data Migration ETL Tester Key Role: Carry out ETL testing for data that has been extracted, transferred, and loaded from the current Oracle database to the new Azure Synapse database. Write and execute testing scripts, use testing frameworks and methodologies, document results, and provide feedback to the data engineering and architecture team. Review complex database models and use Oracle and Azure databases. Work independently on ETL execution and collaborate with the data engineer and ETL team. Work within a highly dynamic team in an Agile program environment. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in automating ETL testing processes to improve efficiency and reusability - 5+ years of experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate ETL processes - 5+ years of experience in verifying data completeness, correctness, and consistency through data profiling and business rules analysis - 5+ years of experience in regression testing to ensure ETL process updates do not introduce new issues - 5+ years of experience in collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and key stakeholders to communicate test results - 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational database - Experience with ETL testing tools and frameworks - DHS suitability - Bachelor's degree Additional Qualifications: - Experience with Oracle DB - Experience with Synapse DB dedicated SQL pool - Experience in identifying and applying methods to address data quality issues - Experience with data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques - Experience in an Agile delivery team - Experience with Jira and Confluence collaboration tools - Experience in Business Intelligence programs - Experience working with Federal Government clients - Experience working with data types, including workforce, human capital, procurement, acquisitions, real property, personal property, security, logical, or physical access - Possession of strong verbal communication skills Vetting: Selected applicants will undergo a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; DHS suitability is required. The salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The estimated salary range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
