Role Purpose: DataOps Engineer

The DataOps Engineer will collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, and DevOps teams to ensure the availability of our Azure data platform. The role emphasizes best practices around automation, scalability, and security. Primary responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure and data pipelines, implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, administering our Databricks Lakehouse platform, and managing role-based access control.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor existing data pipelines, resolve issues, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure our infrastructure is available and scalable to meet business needs.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Administer Databricks/Unity Catalog, including cluster management and RBAC setup.
• Identify infrastructure cost optimizations.
• Set up linked services in Azure Data Factory.

Technical Requirements

• Experience monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Experience creating linked services in Azure Data Factory using Azure Key Vault.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services.
• Understanding of Data Engineering/Software Engineering best practices.
• Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Databricks Workspace Administration.
• Understanding of implementing identity and access management.
• Experience setting up Unity Catalog (desirable).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) (desirable).
• Knowledge of cloud networking (desirable).
