Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in analytics to address product or business challenges, proficiency in coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), database querying, or performing statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, skilled in statistical data analysis including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
- Robust experience in articulating and translating business questions into analytical frameworks, then deriving answers using available data.
- Proficiency in causal inference methods such as split-testing, instrumental variables, difference-in-difference methods, fixed effects regression, panel data models, regression discontinuity, and matching estimators.

- Address complex analytical problems with a structured approach; from data gathering and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to model development and result delivery.
- Build and prototype analysis pipelines to scale insights, develop deep knowledge of Google data structures and metrics, and advocate for product development changes as needed.
- Engage cross-functionally to present findings and make recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, experimental design, use of privacy-preserving methods such as differential privacy).
