What We Offer

Embark on your career with a Data Science Internship at Worth AI, starting Summer 2024. Ideal for those currently pursuing a degree in a data-centric or technology-centric field, our role provides hands-on experience within our Artificial Intelligence team. You’ll have direct mentorship from our Senior Data Scientist and a chance to engage in meaningful projects that propel our technological pursuits forward.

Your academic journey should include one or more of the following areas: machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, data visualization, artificial intelligence, coding, and data engineering. Plus, we value your eagerness to expand skills in stakeholder presentation, spreadsheets, and presentation design.

Please note: This internship is unpaid but offers valuable experience and credit towards your degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine machine learning models under expert guidance.
• Collaborate on the design and execution of data-driven solutions.
• Handle coding tasks related to data manipulation, analysis, and the creation of compelling PowerPoint visuals.
• Document and present findings and methodologies to the team.
• Take charge of one end-to-end project deliverable.
• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for analysis.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover trends and patterns.

What We’re Looking For

• Current enrollment in a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics/Econometrics, Chemical Engineering, or similar, with a focus on machine learning or statistical methods.
• Basic proficiency in Python, R, or a similar programming language.
• A grasp of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Experience or coursework in machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Strong teamwork capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior use of Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy, or equivalents in R.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Basic understanding of data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Tableau, or PowerBI.
