Role Overview

As the Data Science Manager of GenAIIC, you will lead a dynamic team committed to building cutting-edge generative AI solutions. Your role involves steering a talented group of scientists, deep learning architects, and machine learning engineers towards creating sophisticated AI models and pipelines. These initiatives will provide highly innovative solutions to complex, real-world problems across various data types such as text, images, and more.

Key Responsibilities

You will be at the forefront of technical strategy, serving as the technical face of AWS within our providers' ecosystem and directly to end customers. Your ability to drive discussions with senior stakeholders both technically and managerially will be paramount. Leadership in developing strategic business and technical frameworks will also be crucial to your role. Moreover, managing and nurturing technical talent within your team will ensure the continued delivery of groundbreaking solutions to our customers globally.

Who Should Apply?

For those with a background in science or machine learning and a knack for leadership within tech-driven environments, this position is especially appealing. Our current team is spread globally, and this particular role can be based in Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in management roles specifically managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
• Foundational knowledge in ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Quantitative Masters Degree or equivalent educational background.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD degree.
• Demonstrable experience with building machine learning models and developing algorithms geared towards business solutions.
• Proven track record of designing complex software systems involving machine learning and vision that have successfully reached market.
